Northampton Town have signed former Blackburn Rovers striker Jack Vale until the end of the season.
The 24-year-old came through Blackburn’s academy and scored three goals in 27 first-team appearances for the Lancashire club.
He was was released at the end of last season after he was sent out on loan to Scottish side Motherwell.
It was his second stint with Motherwell in as many seasons, with Vale also having previous loan stays with Lincoln City, Halifax, Rochdale and Barrow.
He has spent a number of weeks training with Kevin Nolan’s Northampton squad before signing a contract.
