The Blues knew a win – and most likely a draw – would be enough to finish in the top five without relying on other results, so Ilkay Gundogan’s fine overhead kick was an impressive way to set them on their way to another European Cup campaign.
Erling Haaland rolled in a second-half penalty as City withstood some Fulham pressure in between, with Kevin De Bruyne coming off the bench for his final appearance in the Premier League.
