Roma have made an approach to sign Liverpool left-back Kostas Tsimikas on a season-long loan.
Liverpool would prefer a permanent move for the Greece international, who has dropped down the pecking order at Anfield following the summer arrival of Milos Kerkez from Bournemouth. Tsimikas wasn’t named in the matchday squad for Monday’s game against Newcastle United as the Premier League champions look to sort out his future. Andy Robertson is currently the club’s second choice left-back behind Kerkez.
The Athletic reported in June that Tsimikas was expected to leave before the end of the summer transfer window. The 29-year-old would like to join a club who can offer European football and is considered more likely to move abroad than stay in England.
