Hugo Ekitike is looking forward to the “tough competition” Alexander Isak will provide at Liverpool following the Deadline Day arrival of the Sweden international.
Isak and Ekitike arrived at Anfield this summer for a combined fee of £204m.
Ekitike has enjoyed an impressive start to life in Arne Slot’s side, scoring three goals across his first four appearances, but will now face tough competition from Isak moving forward.
“When you play for the best teams, you inevitably expect to be competing with the best players,” Ekitike said when asked about competing with his new teammate.
